The Experience

Booking a photography session should feel simple, relaxed, and enjoyable from start to finish.

Whether this is your first professional session or you’ve photographed with me before, my goal is always the same, creating a comfortable experience while documenting your family in a genuine and timeless way.

From your first inquiry to your final gallery delivery, here’s what the process looks like.

Start by filling out the inquiry form for the session you’re interested in.

This is where you’ll share details about:
  • The type of session you’re looking for
  • Location information
  • Who will be photographed
  • Your preferred timeframe
  • Any ideas or questions you may already have

The more detail you include, the better I’m able to help guide you toward the best session for your family.

Once I receive your inquiry, I’ll respond with:
  • Session information
  • Available dates
  • Pricing details
  • Location guide if needed
  • Booking information
  • Payment plan options if requested

Step ONE: Submit an Inquiry

Once you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send over your booking proposal.

To officially reserve your session:
Your contract must be signed
Your non-refundable retainer must be paid

Once both are completed, your session is officially booked on my calendar.

Please note that dates are not held without a signed contract and retainer.

Step Two: Reserve Your Session

Once booked, we’ll begin planning the details of your session together.

I’ll help guide you through:
  • Outfit coordination
  • Color palettes
  • Session timing
  • Location recommendations
  • What to bring
  • Preparing little ones for photos

You do not need to know how to pose or prepare perfectly for your session. I’ll guide you throughout the process while keeping everything feeling natural and relaxed.

Especially with babies and younger children, sessions are approached with patience and flexibility. Some little ones need time to warm up, and that’s completely okay.

Step three: Planning Your Session

Session day is meant to feel easy and enjoyable.

Whether we’re photographing outdoors during golden hour or inside my Gilroy studio, I’ll guide you through the entire session so you never feel awkward or unsure of what to do.

My sessions are a combination of:
  • Gentle posing and direction
  • Natural interactions
  • Candid moments
  • Traditional smiling portraits

The goal is always a gallery that feels polished while still feeling like you.

Step four: Session Day

After your session, I carefully hand edit each image in my signature style.

Your final gallery will be delivered through an online gallery where you’ll be able to:

  • View your images
  • Download your selected photos
  • Share your gallery with family and friends
  • Order professional quality prints if desired

Most galleries are delivered within approximately 3 weeks depending on the season and session type.

Rush editing upgrades are available if you need your gallery sooner.

Rush Delivery Options:
  • Overnight Delivery — $700
  • 3 Day Delivery — $500
  • 7 Day Delivery — $300

Step Five: Editing & Gallery Delivery

Step six: Enjoy Your Photos

Your photos deserve to exist somewhere beyond your phone camera roll.

Print them. Frame them. Create albums. Share them with your kids years from now.

These sessions are about documenting the people you love exactly as they are right now, and those memories only become more valuable with time.

The sooner the better! Our weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to us, the more likely you are to get your desired date!

To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?

Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, we take photos for a living and we even feel like a deer in the headlights when we're in front of the camera.

You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and we coach you through images, we think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. We're well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.

We're Awkward and my kids don't sit still.

No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.

Often, when we're scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images. Your booking contract also includes a print release so you can visit your favorite photo printing shop and or website to print your photos up.

How will we receive our photos?

Clients should first browse through my website and choose the session type they’re looking for. Once you’re ready, simply click the “Inquire Here” button and fill out the inquiry form.

Please include as much detail as possible when filling out your form. The more information you share with me, the better I’m able to guide you through the booking process and ask all the right questions for your session.

How do I book a session?

Yes! I do offer payment plans for sessions.
Payments can be broken up into weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payments depending on your session date. The earlier you book, the smaller the payments can be.
My payment plans are interest free and are designed to help make sessions more manageable for families, especially for larger sessions like extended family or generational sessions.
